Product Description Rescuing princesses isn't an easy business, but there's always one plumber ready for the job! This time it's Princess Daisy who needs the help of our plucky hero in Super Mario Land for the Game Boy. Set out on an adventure through four worlds of one player side-scrolling action that will have you hopping and stomping your way through dangerous caves, an ancient pyramid, and more! Along the way you can collect mushrooms, flowers, and stars to power you up. Hop into one of Mario's new vehicles, the Marine Pop or the Sky Pop, and fire away at incoming enemies. You'll also have to battle four vicious bosses, including the Sphinx and a massive Easter Island statue, as you search for hidden secrets that hold tons of coins. Super Mario Land is compatible with all Game Boy systems.

Great start to a gameboy trilogy! August 2, 2010 John Lindsey (Socorro, New Mexico USA.)
On August 1989 when Gameboy was released around the world mainly the US and Japan, Nintendo decided that a new Mario adventure to go with it would be a perfect match in heaven. They succeeded! this game has often been considered to be as odd as Super Mario Brothers 2 was at the time but this one felt more like the original Super Mario Brothers games.
Here Luigi is not required for this is Mario's solo adventure! In this game you are not in the Mushroom kingdom or the dream world of Subcon, instead you are in a weird place called Sarasaland where a new princess named Daisy was kidnapped by an alien named Tatanga. Here in this game you do 12 levels in 4 worlds as you fight goombas, Koopas with bombs instead of shells, Chinese ghosts, Moai statue heads that attack and more bizarre stuff.
It's a fresh and different Mario adventure just like the last year's Super Mario Bros. 2 game only more true to the original Super Mario Bros. formula of the first game. What's cool in this game you get a special flower that grants you a special ball that defeats enemies and collects coins for you, there's also different enemies to fight such as killer Sphinxes to giant Sea-Horses as in 2 levels it can become a sidescroller where your in a Sub or plane blasting enemies including bosses which makes this a worthwhile Mario game.
The graphics are simplistic yet primitive and small for the gameboy but works well on Super GameBoy for the SNES. If you can find this at a flea market, Pawn-Shop or Online then you'll be surprised on how well this holds up as i do believe the sequels are even better.
Great Game... April 18, 2010 What can I expect? Im 11 years old and I love retro games. I like Mario and I had a Gameboy Advance SP. So I got it. It is very challenging, I only got to 3-2! Yet it is fun. I replay this game 2-5 times a day. Overall, for a Gameboy game, it has awesome music, graphics, and gameplay!
Classic Game October 5, 2009 TaRan (Newport News, VA) I've always had fond memories of this game from my childhood, so I decided to purchase it to play again on those long flights home. It's just as I remember. The game is a lot of fun and the music just sticks in your head. The only problem with the game is you can't save.
Super Mario Land Review August 16, 2009 Super Mario Land is a really fun game. Going in planes to go on land and saving Princess Daisy.
Super Mario Land (Nintendo Game Boy) February 17, 2009 Kay E. Platt (Nintendo World) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Mario is off to another adventure to save the great Princess Daisy, first Mario has to zoom through 11 action packed levels to find that the real princess daisy is in the 12th and last level of this game. Mario rescues Daisy and with a happy ending Mario and Daisy get back to the Mushroom Kingdom!
This is a Wonderful Game probably my all time favorite game boy game, this was the first game boy game I played, I first tried it when I was 4 and then I beat it about 25 times when I was 9 and I am a teenager now and still love this game very much. I still play the game everyday and beat it very fast. When I was 9 I could complete the whole game in 15 minutes due to many shortcuts I found:) Get the Original Game Boy with Super Mario Land and lay off the chocolate milk while buying a Nintendo DS Lite. All of the Super Mario Land Games+ the original tetris is SO MUCH better than a Nintendo DS where the games are the size of your finger nail and cost $35.00, please agree with me on this one, I still have a loaded wallet and bought 30 games the other day! I got this one for $1.50 at Game Stop because it was $9.99 -75% and then I had my edge card so -10% and I got it for $1.50, if you want to save money please write this down when buying Game Boy Games:
Tell them: I have an EDGE Card Number, could you please use it and then give them the number it is 10% off-
006904068118 EXP: 7/09
Please use it because I have barely used it, it just saves 10% it isn't money to me, it cost $15.00 for a year and you get 1 magazine each month. PLEASE GET THIS GAME! THIS is the best game you will have ever bought, the fact it doesn't save just adds a big bar of replay value to this game, it is the most replayable game I have ever played:) and that is out of a lot, a few hundred games..... Do yourselves a favor and lay back on the couch and enjoy Mario's first adventure on the game boy!
Thanks!
